A little about me!
Hi! My name is Holly and i’m from Southampton, England. Welcome to Pronounced Tutoring and Coaching! I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Psychology from the University of Portsmouth, and I have worked in Education Development for one of the UK’s leading Russel Group Universities. I really started my career in English Tutoring and Coaching 5 years ago, working as a freelance tutor ever since. I have tutored people aged from 3 years to 40+ years old. I have successfully provided a range of different services including (but not limited to);

Through my experience, I have developed an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be a successful tutor and coach. Learning English is more than just learning new words. I will help you to build confidence and understand the culture of work, education and life in the UK so you can really succeed.
A fun fact about me: I absolutely love to travel and learn about different cultures and countries. My most recent adventure has been travelling around South America. Ask me about some of the different places i’ve been to!

Volunteered in a small village in Thailand and taught English for the local community, and I loved it! This was my first experience as an English Tutor and my first certificate gained for teaching English as a foreign language.

What will our sessions look like?
Our sessions will be online, allowing for extra flexibility! I like to keep my lessons interactive, fun and a safe space for learning! You will never be punished for making mistakes in my lessons, because making mistakes is how we learn! I often take inspiration from what’s happening in the world around us to keep what we are learning interesting and relevant. In terms of what content we will cover, this will depend on what service you are using, your age, ability level and duration of your session. However, I take a person-centred approach. This means how I teach, and what I teach, depends on your needs and goals. I will take time to get to know you personally and make sure our lessons are adapted to suit what you want and need. This is something we can discuss during your free consultation!
How do we timetable our sessions?
Sessions are timetabled to suit you and your lifestyle. We can have as many or as few sessions per week as you would like. Although, I recommend a minimum of 1 hour per week to achieve consistent improvement. During our free consultation, we can discuss a plan that works best for you. Some people like to choose specific days and times that we can stick to each week, or some people like to change their session times each week to fit around their lifestyle. Either way, I work flexibly.
What if I need help for something that is not listed in your services?
Get in touch with me! The services I have listed are my core services that I offer, however I'm available to help people with whatever their English tutoring or coaching needs might be. Let’s have a conversation, and see if we can work together.
How do I pay?
I only use secure methods of payment, I can accept payment via WeChat Pay or Paypal. You must pay for your lessons upfront, so a minimum of 24 hours before your lesson starts. You can add ‘credit’ to your account by booking blocks of lessons in either 5 or 10 lesson blocks, which you can use at any time. If you need to cancel a lesson, please give 24 hours notice. We can move your lesson to another day and you will not lose your money. Please note: if you do not show up to your lesson without giving notice, you will still be charged.
