Why do I offer this service?
During my time working in one of the UKs top Russel Group Universities, I realised something...
Just passing your IELTs exam is not enough to be ready for, and succeed in, life and study in the UK!
So many of the students I worked with, had passed their IELTs exams, yet struggled to have a basic conversation with their Lecturer or Tutor in English because they lacked confidence and experience in speaking to native English speakers.
Why is this important? What about when you have a question or a problem and you need to speak to a staff member to get help, how confident will you feel being able to do this? Making friends is crucial to having a good experience at university, how comfortable would you feel in a room of English speakers, making friends with them? The list goes on, but there are so many reasons why it is important to feel comfortable and confident having every day conversations and speaking to people in English.
Additionally, the majority of our students were also not prepared for the cultural and educational differences they faced when coming to study in the UK, something that I am well experienced in being able to coach you with.
The problem is, once you arrive in the UK it is already too late to start working on these skills. If you prepare early, through tutoring and coaching with me, you will already be one step ahead before you even arrive in the UK.
